Gastronomy
At the heart of the flavors, the chestnut, inseparable from the landscape, remains a product that has always been closely linked to the history of Ardèche. Distinguished from an AOP, it displays, with Picodon and Fin Gras du Mézenc, French quality and anchoring to the terroir. A mosaic of other flavors also enhances this territory: olive and its southern oils, truffle, saffron..., enough to awaken all taste buds!
Associated with good local products, quality labels or brands (AOP, IGP, Goûtez l'Ardèche, Etapes Tastés, etc.) offer visitors and residents of Ardèche the choice to discover gastronomy and its producers.
Vineyards
Here the vines grow alongside olive trees, pines, lavender, mulberry or chestnut trees and are surrounded by the numerous rivers which run through the territory. Land of streams and rivers, nearly 5,000 km of waterways cross it to supply the Rhône river. A harsh territory, with a variety of landscapes and soils, both marl and limestone, with spectacular gorges. The geological richness of the soils on which Ardèche winegrowers have planted vines makes this territory a wine breeding ground. The IGP Ardèche thus offers a mosaic of uninhibited and quality wines.
